BLIND ALLEZ - LIVE @ Rockers Bar, Midland Street, Glasgow on DECEMBER 22nd 2006

The evening started with local punk/rock outfit The Fakes who took to the stage around 9pm and played a set comprised of origional songs and punked up covers.

At approx 9.45pm

Blind Allez

blasted to life with a storming rendition of  Cheap Trick's "Hello There", with chunky guitars and thumping bass and drums, Peter's vocals cutting over with power and class.

The band moved straight into their own classic "Twin Barrels Burning", fast and powerful with an old style Metal feel.

This was followed by more classic Blind Allez in the form of "Lyin Heart" and the storming Lizzy-esque "Too Much Too Young" before launching into a stomping rendition of  AC/DC s "Rock'n'Roll Damnation" to the delight of the Rockers crowd.

The band then changed the mood with thier own origional version of "Can't Get Any Lower", covered by GUN on the album Taking On The World.

This led neatly into the Gun classic "Money", with Joolz Gizzi back to his old self, making his Les Paul scream the opening notes with all too familiar gusto.

Next on the night's agenda was "American Made", last played at the 1985 Radio Clyde Kelvingrove Festival and still as powerful and melodic as it was all those years ago.

Cheap Trick's "Surrender" rocked the venue next before the inevitable "Better Days" rang out to huge applause.

A surprise in the form of "Word Up" blasted the Rockers punters with it'skickin groove and was every bit the classic Gun made it.

The band rounded off the set with thier own fast, stompin rocker "In My Heart" before going on to delight the fans with a as kickin, foot stompin rendition of the all time favourite of Gun fans everywhere, "Steal Your Fire".

And finally, Blind Allez played out with a Christmas rendition of the song they opened the set with, Cheap Trick's "Hello There" which was nicely transformed into "Goodbye Now" and further enhanced with a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year message woven into the vocal line.

All in all I must say that Blind Allez Rocked from the very 1st note to the final crashing ending.

Blind Allez will be playing again in the near future and I can seriously recommend you take a trip along, especially if you're an old Gun fan, and even if you ain't, I can guarantee a thoroughly enjoyable night.

I loved it!

Keep Rockin Blind Allez!!
